February 2020

A wet February and a welcomed change of conditions.

5th to 8th February 235mm of rain fell.

Ballin Boora Creek under Bronte Road Bridge has had 3 flows.

  • 1st flow 8th February: flow due to very localised rainfall flooding

  • 2nd flow 18th February: During pumping embargo Mehi River overland flow entered upper reaches of Ballin Boora Creek making the Mehi R/Ballin Boora Ck anabranch active

  • 3rd flow 27th February: Saturated catchment didn't take much rainfall to flow again till 1st of March.

Frogs are croaking and waterbird are coming to a new food source. plenty of swimming holes. Happier greener times ahead..
